COUNTY OF WELLINGTON TO EASE SOME PUBLIC HEALTH SAFETY MEASURES
WELLINGTON COUNTY – With the Government of Ontario’s recent announcement that the province will begin to cautiously and gradually ease some public health safety measures, the County of Wellington has decided to follow the same direction.

March 1- all County of Wellington buildings will re-open to the public.

March 1- The Government of Ontario is lifting its proof of vaccination requirement to
enter certain establishments and the County will follow suit.

March 1- curbside pick-up at all County of Wellington libraries will be discontinued.

The current Provincial directive to actively screen employees remains in place.

The current Provincial directive to passively screen visitors remains in place.
-
The current Provincial directive to wear masks indoors remains in place.

The current Provincial directives in place for Long Term Care Homes in Ontario will
remain at Wellington Terrace.
“Due to the proactive measures taken by all levels of government supported by our professional healthcare partners, key public health system indicators are continuing to improve,” said Warden Kelly Linton. “The County of Wellington will follow the Government of Ontario’s lead as we continue to cautiously re-open our buildings.”
